Why ZERO WASTEISH?
Hi, and thanks for reading! I'm Nicole, a 30-something living in Denver, Colorado, with my husband and pup. ZERO WASTEISH is a documentation of our experiences of attempting a zero-waste lifestyle. With a goal of progress over perfection, the emphasis will be on the "ish." And, as I'm sharing our experiences, I would love to hear from you regarding your interest in a zero-waste lifestyle.
“Refuse what you do not need; reduce what you do need; reuse what you consume; recycle what you cannot refuse, reduce, or reuse; and rot (compost) the rest.”

Zero Waste, as defined by the Zero Waste International Alliance (ZWIA): a goal that is ethical, economical, efficient and visionary, to guide people in changing their lifestyles and practices to emulate sustainable natural cycles, where all discarded materials are designed to become resources for others to use.
Zero Waste means designing and managing products and processes to systematically avoid and eliminate the volume and toxicity of waste and materials, conserve and recover all resources, and not burn or bury them.
Implementing Zero Waste will eliminate all discharges to land, water or air that are a threat to planetary, human, animal or plant health.
